How would you describe yourself?
California girl born and raised. I am the perfect combination of laid back Cali swag and black girl sass. At 5'1" I am small but mighty and even though I may not be able to reach the top shelf, the bottom of the inside of the top loading washer, easily climb into the passenger side of your pick up truck you shouldn't underestimate my tenacity. I'm full of surprises.
I have very eclectic interest; museums, movies, motorcycles... Um... I need something else that starts with an "M". Oh, I know music!! Whew, that would have really bothered me.
I love a good story in all its forms. Hell to be honest I enjoy a bad story as well. So feel free to share.
I know everyone says it but I do love to travel. One of my favorite places being Chile. While there I was able to help build 3 homes for families that lost everything during the earthquake/tsunami of 2010. I'd never worked so hard in my life but it was so worth it. And Thailand, where I met some of the most amazing people and had some of the best food I have ever eaten. Oh, I love food. Especially bacon, and cheese and all the other things we aren't supposed to eat. Okay back to Thailand, I hiked through the hill tribes, swam on a river with piranha. Actually I wasn't trying to go swimming per se, I sort of fell in while climbing across a tree protruding out the side of a mountain but that's a long story. Needless to say I am down for a good adventure.
I like to think I am an example of a tomboy all grown up. A tomboy with an addiction to cute shoes. Be warned my shoe situation is serious. But I am more about a cute boot than a fabulous heel. Who am I kidding I love a great heel too.
Let's see... I covered hobbies, adventure, food, cute shoes... Mentioned bacon, travel... Oh, physically I would say I am fit while still maintaining my womanly curves. (One of my friends gave me that line)
I think that should about do it. If I missed anything feel free to drop me a line and if you have a great story to tell please share.
I am looking for
I am attracted to very masculine men. For some reason the metrosexual dudes just don't do it for me. But he shouldn't be a troglodyte either. Ya know what I'm talking about the guy that can escort me to a work function or cocktail party and have something meaningful to contribute to the conversation but can also get out in the yard and build me a deck or fix something when it breaks. I am not looking for a man that is into all of the same things I am. I support the attraction of opposites. How boring would life be if everyone were the same.
I appreciate a man that takes care of himself inside and out. But since I am a lover of bacon, cheese, brownies and other sweet treats I wouldn't be super strict diet wise as long as there is balance. I like to be active and I would love to have someone to do fun stuff with have a few adventures.
They say laughter is good for the soul so a man that is full of laughter and joy is a blessing even if that means laughing at himself.
Ooo and if he can cook THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!! And I am not in opposition to tattoos, motorcycles (as mentioned above) and extreme sports.
I want to be with a man that sees me and wants to know me and protect me. Someone into me for me and not how I make them feel. (Yep that was me revealing my relationship baggage. Not so bad. Right?)
But ultimately I want to be with a man that will pray with me and pray for me. I'm not saying you need to be one step away from the pulpit but have faith believe in greater things and the importance of family and purpose.
