How would you describe yourself?
Ok, some random, miscellaneous bits about myself. I've recently finished my degree and I'm figuring out the next direction in my life. I enjoy movies, sports (love my cardinals), fitness, music (i enjoy music from all genres, have an affinity for the 80s, but at my core I'm an indie and alternative rock type of girl) so naturally I enjoy going to concerts/ live music. I enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of just hanging out in a coffee shop, having good conversation and I absolutely adore animals. My self-perception of who I am may be somewhat skewed (i suppose all self-perceptions are) but I would like to think I'm witty and reasonably intelligent (whatever reasonable intelligence entails). I'm introspective, analytical, and self-aware, but most importantly I consider myself to be a down-to-earth (cliché but true) woman who enjoys simplicity. I try not to take myself too seriously (just seriously enough?).
I am looking for
Who am I looking for? An attractive (to me, subjective, right? . . . But 'cute' is hard to resist,), classy (please be classy), intelligent, mature person who also takes himself just seriously enough. Someone who enjoys going out but can be equally content with relaxing at home. If you just happen to have a great smile and gorgeous eyes?... That's even better. Conversation, good chemistry, and developing a genuine connection sounds good to me :)
While I'm far from shallow, I think it's fair to say that attraction is important and we all have certain attributes (both physical and non-physical) that we're instinctively drawn to. I'm inclined to gravitate towards someone who is in a more serious stage of life, educated, communicative, and has an awesome sense of humor. A progressing friendship anchored at its core with fun, laughter, mutual respect, good natured banter and intellectual depth is ultimately what I seek. It would be great to meet someone to share both our similarities and differences, spend some time together, and just get to know each other. I'm certainly open to making new friends and I genuinely welcome that opportunity, but with the right person, I would like to pursue something more meaningful. I'm pragmatic enough in my approach to not have any major expectations (i'm fully aware that the nature of disappointment is all too ubiquitous here) yet I'm still idealistic enough to not have entirely ruled out the possibility that someone awesome (awesomeness, much like attraction is completely subjective) might be found here.
