I'm a 43-year-old, six-foot two-inch African American male with a medium build. I'm bilingual; not only do I speak English but also French. Currently I'm in school pursuing my Master's degree in Childhood Education. I'm an idealist who wants to work in the public school system although I've heard so many negative things about it. I wanted to take on the challenge of teaching underprivileged children and helping them advance academically.

I would describe myself as a laid-back individual who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. The most important things to me are my friends and my family. I never take them for granted. What I value in a person are loyalty, honesty, and trust--qualities that give me an indication of a person's character. In return, my friends and family will get the same thing from me. During my free time I enjoy watching movies. My tastes range from action films and comedies to dramas. I also like listening to different styles of music and breaking out my guitar and playing some music of my own. Occasionally I enjoy eating out and sampling from many different types of cuisines, which is possible in New York City since there are several international restaurants.

I love to laugh and it is definitely one of the top qualities I am looking for in the right person. I am also pretty open to learning and trying new things.. I'd like to meet an amazingly fun, caring and thought-provoking woman who can put a big smile on my face and keep it there. Someone who is equally passionate about her work, her friends and everything that she does.
