I am proud to be originally from Colombia. You are at my side; I turn toward you and read your eyes. With that I realized today was not good for you. I respond by holding you tighter and engulf the smell of you. I run my hand dorsum on your cheeks. As I look at you, the index and middle fingers gently pinch your cheek. I then whisper "consentida" (an affectionate metaphoric adjective, sounds better in Spanish), and you understand that I will be there for you.
It is a sunny day with a fresh breeze. We hold each other hand and have a pleasant conversation while we walk by the lake. Inspired by empathy, I gently move your hand in such a way that it is close to my lips. Then my lips pinch your hand dorsum just because.
