Planning on meeting the in-laws? Nothing scares a woman more. It’s like entering into a multicultural relationship, where the difference in cultures is one thing that scares the living daylights out of someone. How do you fit in? How do you live with their annoying differences?
There has always been some myth that when a son gets married, and the daughter-in-law arrives in the family, everything changes. She takes over the family completely. Once the honeymoon is over, the family too gets worried about what is gonna change… like the end of sleep-over beer parties with their son among other things.
Being well trained and well mannered, one daughter-in-law assured the in-laws that she wasn’t gonna interfere with their way of life or routine… not even in a million years. Puzzled, the father-in-law asked what she meant by that.
Her answer was totally brilliant:
Those who used to wash the dishes must carry on washing them.
Those who used to do the laundry must carry on doing it.
Those who cooked should not stop at my account,
AND Those who used to clean should continue cleaning!!!
The mother in law had to ask what she was there for and got an answer right back…
“ME!!!! I’M HERE ONLY TO ENTERTAIN YOUR SON!!!!!”
Try pulling that one on your in laws and see how fast they will file for a divorce themselves
