When I told a pal of mine that I write on interracial dating, he asked me “What is the fascination with White men dating Asian women?� Why does the combo receive so much attention? Asian Female Fetish Syndrome is what some of us call it…Yellow Fever if you prefer the term better.
Well, if you took time to ask the men, it all boils down to one thing… stereotype!! Oriental girls are kinky… they have the tightest ***** you know what… hypersexual and erotic… submissive… I could go on and on…!!! Well, for one guy, its all about their physical appearance… the silky black hair… petite frame… the eyes!!! If you walk into a bar with Asian women, then you won’t miss such remarks.
Why is it that very few White women date Asian men? Are the reasons the same as why few Black women date White men? Coincidence?

I think times are changing a bit as I have seen quite a few Asian man/white woman couples recently. I would guess that there are areas of the country where this is more common.

Well in that case, you really did not mean you prefer Asia women the most. You really meant that Asia women are more accesable.

I’m a white woman, and I’m mainly attracted to Asian guys. I always have been, though I grew up in a small town with little diversity, so I didn’t get to date any Asians until I moved to a city. I think my first Asian crush was in junior high on the drummer from Smashing Pumpkins. Who knows why I dig the Asians, or why people dig anyone? I have always preferred guys about my size or smaller. I reject the idea that femininity has to mean smaller and masculinity has to mean bigger. Small men can be very masculine; large women can be very feminine. Of the Asian guys I’ve dated seriously, they were all very different physically, in personality, and tastes. They all had a history of dating white women.
I think if tv and movies show Asian American guys as they really are - as diverse as any Americans - that will open women’s eyes to them more.
As for the stereotype about their units being smaller, it’s somewhat true (though there are ALWAYS exceptions). But I find smaller is better for 2 out of 3 of my main parts, if you know what I mean! Ha!
BTW, according to the latest US Census, Asians make the most money of any race. I guess that proves women aren’t just into money. I make plenty of my own money, so that’s not why I’m interested in Asian men. I just think they’re hot. ;0

Yo, if it’s not too late for me to jump in here, I would like to offer an explanation to why “Edmund” and other white men might find Asian women more accessible.
I think that Asian women truly are easier to approch than white women. Firstly, most women of all races have a bias against short men. and since, Asian women are generally quite short, more men stand a chance with them.
Also, Asian women tend to be more reserved than white women. So, men with more introverted, quiet personalities are probably going to be more successful with Asian women.
Finally, I probably see more young Asian women with white men than with Asian men. I would imagine that many white men believe that most Asian women prefer white men. Nothing increases a man’s confidence than a women who is attracted to him. So, if white men think that Asian women desire them, white men will pursue them.

Maybe the reserved thing is true. Perhaps men find it easier to approach a more reserved woman. I have seen so many white men I work with who love an Asian woman, but are not into a black woman. It would be interesting to find out why

Regarding the idea that Asian women are reserved…lol…as a starting point, there are major differences among Asian cultures just as there are with black or white cultures. Japanese women are raised in a more patriarchical culture. Chinese women in a more matriarchical culture. Indian women in another culture. Arabic and Israelis in still other cultures. Of course you knew that the MiddleEast is part of Asia didn’t you. While this topic sparked some discussion, it is a loaded scenario. As with most racial issues, the only important issue is whether two people actually have the potential and desire to love each other.

The reason is simple; asian women are the most feminine, with more delicate appearance. What I mean by delicate is that they have smooth facial features, ie. small nose, jaws, full lips, etc.

My response is to What? was stating, but she was only stating the half truth. What she has failed to state, to which I have seen on a higher accord is the Black woman who dates white men exclusively but hates to see when a black man dates outside of his race. In fact, I worked with one in Tampa, FL. When my Asian wife came to my job and brought me dinner, she pretty much raked me over coals for my choice in women. Yet I find out about 4-6 weeks later that this SAME Black woman only dates WHITE men.
As I see it we all have our choices, our preferences our favorites. I dont mind if I see a Black woman with a white man or an Asian man with a White woman, whatever the combination. If that person makes you happy then you shouldnt have to get ridiculed or verbally chastised for your choice. Its quite simple, if you hate fish, because of the smell or taste, do you feel obligated to buy it every time you go grocery shopping? Of course not.

I see a lot more white girls with black guys where I live. It’s a very common thing now although the white girls are usually over-weight or have a drug addiction. Nonetheless, they are popping out little Obamas left and right.
So I don’t think anyone should be surprised that white guys are moving on to greener pastures. White women give more respect for Negro men and the ones that have a white man don’t appreciate him. It’s mostly to do with white guilt.

I think Asian features are attractive,….
But so are many white features and others as well.
Still… even if it were a combination of them all,
I would prefer them embodied in a black woman. I think the black female is the most beautiful person on earth.
Others can agree or disagree. It doesn’t sway my view.

I love the black woman. Totally.
