Interracial dating is still frowned upon by so many people. Most haters have gone to various lengths to condemn multicultural and multiracial relationships. But taking the Bible out of context? Gimme a break!!! Do interracial marriages violate God’s principles in the Bible? Some people go to the extent of citing the stories in the Bible where Israelites weren’t meant to get married to people from other tribes. But the main concern appears to have been that if an Israelite married someone from another tribe, they might end up worshipping other Gods, and be lured away from faith solely in God.
Quoting a letter from Bob Jones University, admitting students from any race isn’t an issue.
“Bob Jones University does, however, have a rule prohibiting interracial dating among its students. God has separated people for His own purpose. He has erected barriers between the nations, not only land and sea barriers, but also ethnic, cultural, and language barriers. God has made people different one from another and intends those differences to remain. Bob Jones University is opposed to intermarriage of the races because it breaks down the barriers God has established. It mixes that which God separated and intends to keep separate. Every effort in world history to bring the world together has demonstrated man’s self-reliance and his unwillingness to remain as God ordains. The attempts at one-worldism have been to devise a system without God and have fostered the promotion of a unity designed to give the world strength so that God is not needed and can be overthrown.�?
Now this is how most people against interracial datingg and marriages argue. Taking the Bible out of context with some twisted views. 
If I may recall well, King Solomon in his conquest got as far as Ethiopia – an African. Ultimately, if a couple is one spiritually, and believe before the Lord that they should be joined in marriage, there is nothing in the Bible that speaks against this union. But if you read the Bible, most people condemned inter-faith relationships.
Which brings me to my main concerns 
Do other denominations quote their religions this way with respect to interracial marriages? And are inter-denominational marriages bad? I encourage views from all denominations. This is not just a Christianity issue.

I’m Catholic and it’s never been an issue. Sex outside of marriage, divorce, and kids born out of wedlock are big no-no’s, but they don’t try to tell you what race you can date or marry.
Bob Jone’s University’s policy has nothing to do with religion - that’s just classic American racism. Up until the early 1970’s it was illegal in Virginia for blacks and whites to marry.
We obviously still have a long way to go.

Poor Bob Jones U. Even if its not in place anymore, its a sorry excuse for an American Instution. This is just blatant misuse of the Bible for purposes of preventing interracial dating. If God didn’t want us to date/marry then why do we all have the same compatible parts?

I believe the prevention of marriage or dating between races is more of a cultural issue than religious. My ex was from Northern India, a Sikh, and there was nothing in her religion preventing an interracial relationship. It was her families insistence that the man be from India that got her disowned from her family for seeing me.

The way i see it is, God is all loving, omnipotent, and we are all gods children. guess what people, true love is blind. Its blind to color. If two people of different races love eachother how is that wrong? we may have differences in the color of our skin but we all bleed red, we all want to have families, and raise our children in nurturing, loving and safe enviroments, regardless of race. but there are so many people out there that are afraid of true love. so they come up with these insane ideas, these insane laws about what is correct and what isnt. lets get over it. what are these people afraid of? theyre afraid of finding true love. true love is about not seeing differences, working together, loving together, being together, and being a part of eachother. The hate needs to stop, thats what God wants. God wants us to all love eachother. and anyone who says any different is completly ignorant and afraid of finding something that is truly the most beautiful thing in the world, LOVE!

I don’t know if anyone is familiar with this or not but as far as I know, the only religion that is stressing interracial marriage is the Baha’i Faith.

Its absolutely horrendous that many parents including my own find it their duty to try to brainwash us into thinking that interracial unions are wrong and they will not work. Their reasoning? First of all, what religion will the child then be? My answer: Whatever he choses to be. Second of all, well its not a reasoning more of a direct and appaling statement ” If you do marry someone we disapprove of you will be disowned” My answer? (wish it could be “so be it”) however its just a blank stare….even worse is the fact that IF we wanted to date someone of our own religious background that too is frowned upon….i just think we should all be free to be with whomever makes our hearts leap, our minds clearer, our souls stronger…..whats the harm in that?

well if it is condemned by God to marry another race then how come god permitted moses to marry Zapora she was an egyptian woman and miriam and aaron made fun of moses because of that and god struck miriam with leprosy. Also God warned solomon not to marry strange wives not because of their skin color but because their pagan. When israel was inheriting the promised land of israel and they were defeating their enemies one by one God warned them not to take of their women to your sons as wives and not to give your daughters to them as wives because their pagan nations and will cause you to backslide.

The Bible is very pro interracial marriage. It is one of America’s biggest sins that racist preaching and laws stopped the African American race and the rest of american peoples from mixing without racist laws of 150years ago untill 1967 there would have been a brown mixed america with a different racial climate. Dissallowing race mixing helped to hold black people down and from intergrating into more fully into American wealth and Culture.
I think that in general the minority partner gains in an interracial relationship. They become more exposed to the larger society. That has been my experience. My wife has her masters degree but I have not finished colledge. I am a stay at home dad who works on weekends for ten dollars an hour. Here in California thats not much. However I am an African American male and marrige to my White wife has brought me many benifits. Her family is upper middle class while mine is lower middle middle class. Partly because of her Whitness she has a good job and her family has given us vacations and some finacial support. I went to ghetto schools and my family was on welfare but my wifes school was great that is just some of the inheritance of being white. White people gennerally live in white neiborhoods and inheret good property values and good predominantly White schools. Inheritence is often underrrated but my children stand to inherit some wealth from the family farm when their grandparents die. There is almost no chance that my African American mom will leave any inheritance. The Godparents which my White wife gave to our children also have helped enrich my childrens experiences. They are also white and rich.
Most White people do not realize how much money is in their circle of friends and family compared with that of black people. White neighborhoods are opulent when compared with Black neighborhoods. My wife and I have been married for 16 years and we are very happy. Interracial marriage helps to mellow out the ghettos and reduce the seaparations inbetween African Americans and the rest of Americans. It causes White families to know black people and other minorites on a deeper level. My the family of my wife has alot of Mormons in it. Intergration of families is powerfull. Think of the cousins aunts and uncles nephews and neices who are affected when races mix. It is interracial power to diminish racism. Black women would be very smart to mix with whites because there so many Black men are self destructive and many of the good ones are already taken. I am an African American so I can say that without sounding racist. The future of america is mixed and Brown not White and Black anyways so I encurage all peple to mix it up.
