When I read this article the other day, I went
duh!!! Men lose a year just waiting for their better halves? I have always figured that women are the ones that endure that wait… waiting to meet Mr. Right. Well according to this study, once women find them, roles get reversed.
Men ought to be horrified by this revelation… ‘that they spend almost a year of their lives cooling their heels while waiting for their better halves’. Apparently, this finding is not just some study based on the projection of a man frustrated at being kept waiting. It’s based on the strength of this new survey.
This survey polled 2,000 men across the UK. And the results, found that ‘the average man spends 22 weeks of his life waiting outside changing rooms in shops as his partner tries on different clothes,’ reports The Sun.
Guys, don’t you think it’s staggering just how long men have to wait? And as if that wasn’t enough for the day to stomach, a dude spends a week ‘sitting in his car while picking up his lady love from girlie nights out’. And this drove like 61% of the men that took the survey crazy. If you had to wait that long, who wouldn’t go loco?
However this study brought on some revelation that would make the men here scream “whose the man! Here it is guys: men have limits and one in ten get so annoyed by being made to wait, ‘that they would rather dump their woman than tow the line’.
But you know what?… much as the waiting is painful for men, payment for that is checking out other girls in the store – ‘ something one in five men admit to doing’.
Put that way, men really do wait. Well if you ask me, when am all old and wrinkly, I’d love to look back at things, then look at my wrinkly better half, and thank him for having lost that one year just waiting for me. And if he hadn’t lost that year, then I guess we wouldn’t be sitting together then … now would we?

Men never have to wait for anything! They don’t have to spend forever fussing over their hair, they know what they are going to wear as their selections are more than likely in three categories, work, play, sleep. They don’t have long waits in the bathroom as they don’t have to remove their pants to their ankles to go #1 and their done in two shakes of a lambs tail. Nor do they spend 20 minutes a morning to cover up blemishes and flaws. On them it’s character, on us its a flaw. Sure we could do the same as them, but then we would look like Angelina Jolie foraging for another kid. Just tore up! Nahh…I say let ‘em wait. Good things come to those who wait.

that might be true but men also have a habit of playing the field alot before finding the right one which can be a down side to their waiting longer

I go to Sleep , just take as long as you need . I have always slept / While awaiting my next load assignment . Now that I am Retired , ain’t got nothing else to do . Single men have to wait as washing machines and Dries , do their clothes . Fishermen may wait all night for that one Big catfish to find the Bait . Watch a Good movie on T.V. AND FORGET WHAT THE PLOT WAS WHILE YOU WATCH THE COMMERCIALS . Life is just time spent waiting on sometime .

LOL…when I first started reading I thought the article was going to be about how long men have to wait after the dating starts before they can finally get us to the altar. Lol. I see more and more women are hesitating when that ring comes out.
No man worth his stuff cares about waiting for his woman because usually we’re putting on the finishes touches to look good for him, making sure we pack all those extras he’ll need for the trip to the beach, lingering in the store to get just the right deal for his Fall clothes shopping, having that last appeasing conversation with his mother/relatives before leaving from Thanksgiving dinner, etc. or making sure the nest is properly feathered and secured for our late night return.
And besides waiting does a body good, gives men a chance to reflect on how much they appreciate their woman. Cause while they’re waiting, we’re knowing how much we appreciate them!
