Looking at my previous posts, I have been bringing you occurrences – both good and bad – in the interracial dating world. But I have come to one realization… as much as there is hope, we still aren’t there yet… we are still far from getting there. And after reading what I have for you today, then I will leave all the judging to you.
Two masked men walked into a Main Seafood and Pub on Monday morning, duct-taped the owner to a chair inside and set the pub on fire. Employees said owner Arun Krishnan was assaulted as he opened the building by attackers who bound him to the chair, made racial slurs against him and others, poured a fuel-like substance around the pub and then lit a cloth on fire. Lucky enough, Krishnan freed one of his arms from the chair and called 911 before the fire spread too far.
Krishnan is of Indian descent, and the pub’s disc jockey is African-American, manager Ernie Stamey said. He said the attackers harassed Krishnan about his workers and him being in interracial relationships. Workers call the attack a hate crime against the owner and employees of diverse racial backgrounds.They didn’t want to rob the place,� said Linda Holcombe, a bartender at the restaurant. “They just wanted to send a message to Arun and burn the damn place down. It was definitely a racially motivated hate crime.�
Apparently, the attackers knew the names of many of the employees and allegedly said the pub was having a negative effect on the community.
When you stumble across such news in the midst of some good news, all I can ask is…Is it getting any better? Am I the only one who stumbles across such bad news? And the worst thing is that up until Monday evening, no arrests had been made. Negative effect on community? Somebody, please make me understand all this!!!

Sounds like it was in London or Ireland…somewhere that way. Too bad racists have to spoil the good times.

It is a very sad stuation but i dont agree that this type of behaviour just happens in Britain and Ireland mossimo it happens everywhere and in this part of the world we are called black people or black british not african americans.We also would call 999 not 911

Mossimo, why does it sound like it was in ireland. i doubt that it was - the’re isn’t enough black or asian guys in the whole country to fill a pub (unfortunatly). seriously, back home i know 3 mixed race guys and that’s it (half african, half english and two of them are twins!) there are slightly more asians but mainly in the norh part which is technically part of the UK

again / they are classified as race ist and all I see is Arsonists , A holes and inconsiderate people , with no respect for Human life . God will judge them in the end , meanwhile they will meet some new husbands in their New place of residence
