Beyoncé makes history with NINE Grammy nominations

Posted by Ria, 07 Dec 16

You can’t expect to have the Grammy’s without a bit of Beyoncé. In fact you can’t really expect any award ceremony without a bit of Queen Bey these days. Or a lot of Queen Bey, in this case

Yep, the Grammy nominations have just been announced, and Beyoncé has unsurprisingly done pretty well with a grand total of nine nominations. This officially makes her the most nominated woman in the show’s history. Impressive!

And if she does happen to win eight out of nine awards, she will make even more history by stealing the record from Alison Krauss, who has a total of 28 Grammy awards under her belt. We wouldn’t put it past Beyoncé, would you?

What are you looking for?

Rihanna, Drake and Kanye West aren’t far behind either, racking up eight nominations each in their respective categories.

Do doubt Beyoncé will walk away with a few accolades for ‘Lemonade’, but do we think Kanye West’s recent on-stage outbursts and health issues will go against him? Guess we’ll find out on Sunday 12 February!
