We didn’t think that we would still be dealing with race issues in 2018, but apparently, according to Zoe Saldana, it’s still a big cause for discrimination – especially in Hollywood!

"I'm not going to sugar-coat it for you. Ask any artists of color if they feel like they have to work harder,” she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

“I don't mean that we deserve any special treatment – I don't want anybody's sympathy. But I do encourage empathy because you do have to work twice as hard to make someone in a position of power who has the power to f--k with your life and your dreams see why they should hire you, and why you are the right person for the role.

"We are yet to have an Asian superhero. And I'm waiting for that. It's time. 'Time's Up!' What's the answer? 'Standing up and speaking with love and respect whenever you feel you've been treated unfairly.'"

We hear you! And speaking of Time’s Up, the actress also touched on the subject of the Time’s Up and Me Too movements, praising them and the voice they have given women not just in Hollywood, but around the world…

“We were all suffering quietly...the high road for a woman for centuries was silence,” she continued.

“You kind of go, 'F--k!' The new high road is speaking up. I don't want to go back to feeling minimized and like I'm lucky to be here.

"I get choked up. Never in my life would I have dreamed what happened last year. We were all reaching out to each other, as women, providing care for each other. I never experienced that when I arrived to Hollywood 20 years ago."

Oh, I'm so sick of her victimization. It's not like she's so much better than the other actors out there looking for roles. Everyone knows you can call up Zoe whenever you need a petite black or blackish woman in an interracial relationship role lol. I'm not mad at her, but just telling the truth.

She has been in so many top movies so it is kinda hard to believe that she is having problems getting roles. I would say that other BW have not been given the opportunities that she has so maybe she is talking about someone else and not herself.

sure sure white ppl don't have to work hard at all lmao! they just get off the bus and have starring roles waiting for them. in fact the big boys have to beg white ppl to be in their movies. there are no starving white actors in hollywood... what a load of utter bilge bro... no asian heroes? only kato like 40 years ago.
