For fun:

I run 4-5 days a week (knees willing!), and like to play sports when I have the chance to. I recently learned rock climbing and would like to become pretty good at it. I prefer natural history museums to art museums. I am an avid reader.

My religion:

I was raised Southern Baptist but religion is no longer a part of my life. My faiths now are reason and humanism.

My education:

I studied anthropology but have made a career in management consulting--go figure!

Favorite hot spots:

I've travelled to every continent except Antarctica at this point in my life. My favorite places are South Africa, Japan, Australia, and Costa Rica. I prefer an active, off-the-beaten-path vacation to one where I'm just lying on the beach.

Favorite things:

I love music and have pretty eclectic taste. Radiohead; Earth, Wind and Fire; Peter Gabriel; Shostakovich; David Bowie; The Roots--to name a few. I could watch a Law & Order marathon in a heartbeat. My favorite cuisine is Indian.

Last read:

I can't seem to stay focused on one book at a time. In the rotation are "An Omnivore's Dilemma," "The Mayflower," and some old classic Peanuts strips. I subscribe to both Sports Illustrated and The Economist. Reading is my single favorite pastime.

My pets:

I believe in rescuing from shelters, and all dogs that have been in my life have been mutts. My companions are Kenji (a 4-y. O., male, GSD mix) and Tucker (a 7-y. O., male, lab/pitbull mix). I am allergic to cats.
