A very wise person once told that many people are held captive by pain, suffering and heartache that prevent them from reaching the utopian destiny they seek. However -



I am not that person! Why? Simple. I refuse to be! My story is not ordinary. My life has not been ordinary. My pain has not been ordinary. My healing has not been ordinary. Yet, I would not change a moment of it. I love life; the good, the bad and the ugly because from all of these things comes a blends into the unique fabric called:

Me

I am an extraordinary man. I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul. So who is 'me'? Describing oneself is subjective, as descriptors are merely 'words' that often are not a true representation of the individual themselves. But: I will preface everything with this thought:

If you receive a 'flirt' from me, it is not because I am too lazy to write. I simply refuse to spend any more time writing a note that may or not receive a reply. I have written quite a few letters, only to receive 5 word replies (sometimes not even that). My time is valuable to me, just as it is to you. I was injured in a helicopter accident in afghanistan, hence my 'retired' status. That experience has had a profound impact on my life; how I view things, and how I want to experience the rest of my life. Just one more thing that makes me an extraordinary man, and person. Another thought: we *all* have baggage. Depends on if one just has 'carry-on' or needs a separate cargo plane to carry it!! Also, we *all* have drama; anyone that says they don't, in my opinion, is either fooling themselves, is in denial, or just won't own up to it. I am not here to:

* bolster your (or mine) ego or self-esteem

* be the subject of any mental or emotional game-playing in order to facilitate 'entertainment' or the need to validate your self-worth.

* if you are conversing with more than one other person at the moment, do not email me or im me. That is indicative to me that you are not seriously interested, not only in me, but anyone else. This is not a shopping mall. So what that in mind, this is me:

I am intelligent, articulate, college educated & able to think multi-dimensionally. In other words, outside of the box

I am retired/disabled 9-1-1 paramedic & usaf air rescue, (i now work in the computer service field )seeking a long-term relationship. I offer loyalty, honesty and monogamy as well as wisdom, patience and perseverance. I have dated ladies of colour exclusively for 25 yrs, so I am no stranger to ir relationships nor am I seeking to fulfill any fantasies. (well, hehehehe maybe some)

I enjoy many things in life: arts, culture, & diversity. I like to read (over 20, 000 books in my collection and counting) and music (new age jazz/smooth jazz -->

W**. 947wave*com)is a passion. Yet I enjoy almost venues/genre or music. (yes my 120 gig ipod is full) (and bought another one which is full)

Visual entertainment? I have to admit I like my programmes. They include: *ncis *southland *boondocks *american idol (surprise!) *hells kitchen *cops *burn notice *gangland *dexter *true blood *most of discovery, history channel & learning channel programming

I am domesticated & housebroken, so cooking and cleaning is not an issue. Meals for 2 or 10? Italian, tex-mex, seafood... Gourmet muffins & breads? Or just good ole 'comfort' foods? (added--just bought a bread machine to replace the last one -- gourmet breads is a forte)

I enjoy riding my bike though a park, snorkeling & swimming; I love water. Water parks are a blast! And, I would love to learn to golf! (any golfers reading this?)

I enjoy making tabletop fountains/waterfalls; as well as a multitude of other things, which are far too many to list here. I love growing gardens, indoors and out. I enjoy pets; large dogs, cats, and had a pet bunny (he passed but he and the cat got on wonderfully! And the cat mourned for about 2 months poor thing)

I am a positive, cheerful humourous man, albeit occasionally, I have a dry wit that if need be, can be razor sharp. I would rather laugh than cry; my glass is half-gull, not half-empty. I think that cultural & ethnic diversity is one of the

Finer things in life. I have traveled the world, (23 countries last count) and enjoy new opportunities, & new, interesting, diverse people. However, I must reclaim that statement that while I do enjoy those things, I am seeking more than 'just a friend'. Be forewarned that my trust is something that is not easily earned. But once you have it, I'll have your back till death. You break it -- whoa be to those that do! (smiles)

Age, location & children are not a problem for me. I am relocatable, and I have found that age differences are not an obstacle. So contact me if you think you see a path that we may navigate together. Life is too short. Peace to the world, and God bless. Anthony
