If you thought sex just happens, well think again…..
According to two researchers at the University of Texas, having sex is rather more complicated than we thought. Apparently, there are numerous reasons why people have sex with one another and it’s not always about love OR lust!
For instance, did you know that there are people who favor a bit of bump and grind as a means of getting closer to God? Hey, I had to show you I have read Da Vinci code 
For some seems a headache makes sex a priority… it’s a better cure than aspirin they say.
However, something unexpected was revealed in a recent study… regarding the proximity of Venus to Mars - out of 25 of the most popular reasons for having sex, 20 were the same for women as for men. The study refuted the gender stereotypes that men only want sex for the physical pleasure and women want love.
Of 444 men and women who participated in the study, they only came up with 237 reasons they had sex. The men, it seemed, were more prone to have sex with a woman to gain bragging rights with their friends afterwards and to enhance their status.
So what was the need for this research? According to the author, its to improve sex education and help researchers to curb the spread of sexual diseases. “You need to know why people are having sex if you’re trying to put into place a safe-sex programme.”
