Why he is “small”

Posted by Ria, 29 Dec

Most of us (men and women alike) obsess about a man’s size. And I am not talking about his height or shoe size … his package. Well if you are always wondering why his member is small, here is why: mommy’s exposure to chemicals.

New research says that if a pregnant mother is carrying a boy, chances are; exposure to chemicals will cause the boy to be born with a smaller penis. The New York Post reports that these are chemicals called “endocrine disrupters” which are found in fire retardants, cosmetics, food wrappers and baby powder. These chemicals interfere with hormones in male vertebrae animals. Which means if your man has a small junk, it probably got stunted while he was still in the womb.

“This research shows that the basic male tool kit is under threat,” says Gwynne Lyons, a former government adviser on the health effects of chemicals.

In recent years, wildlife and people have been exposed to more than 100,000 new chemicals and according to the European Commission 99 percent of them are not satisfactorily regulated.

Now you know … if you are stressed about your “size”, consolation is that the length or girth of your penis has nothing to do with your masculinity. Plus you have one more thing to blame on mommy. ;-)

stlrapper, olmec& anacandela.I agree absolutely with you fellas. When we shunt aside useful issues in a relationship and get engrossed in peripheral matters like "size" we end up losing our perspective. You should love your man regardless of his "size". After all there is a lot more at stake here than just size.I don't mean to play down the importance or imperativeness of 'satisfaction' in a game. What i am saying here is simply that there is a lot more here than size. After all is said and done the quality of a choir's music has very little to do with the length of the conductor's rod. On a related issue i think stlrapper is a 'bomb'.I wouldn't mind a one on one with her.

I agree with vt33 and shimska...stlrapper, gr8 point. Hormones, chemicals, etc definetely affect the development and health of living organisms but I would look to genetics as the explanation (or at least greatest determining factor) of penis size. Lemmholdya..penis size DOES matter but what that ideal size is varies woman to woman. That is why women (like myself) just simply say it doesnt matter...I prefer a "smedium" as one member put it...but if I were to say that size matters, a man will just assume I want a big d*ck.

This is the stupidest argument I've ever read about the male genitalia. While I do believe injested chemicals affect our bodies I DON'T agree that's a blanket explanation for a small penis. It's genetics. Sorry!

I can attest to size does not matter as long as the guy knows what he is doing and is willing to please. Some one told me - a guy- that the average penis in the United States is 4 inches. Based on what I know first hand, I would say 6 would be more average. But what makes good sex is knowing your partner, having some level of chemical attraction to one another, and openly appreciating them. This intimacy and your actions bring each other a more satisfied experience.

It's true, look at the journal of urology, recently they had a paper come out that tells of the condition of "hypo-spadeus" which is a decreased anogenital length in baby boys, which means a smaller penis side. These endocrine disrupters are known also xenoestrogens. Two main chemicals that are from the plastic and petrochemical industries are big players, bisphenol A and phalates, these are in everything from cd's shampoo, conditioner, and carpt, literrally everywhere. The even funnier thing is that in the 1930's this class of chemicals were being looked at to be used for ESTROGEN REPLACEMENT. what do you think happens if you dump loads of estrogen essentially into a developing baby..not good. Canada has recently banned plastic bottles in that country because these chemicals will leech out of the plastic and into the contents of the bottle. A CBC documentary the disappearing male..explains it alot better than I. and link(s):http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/06/opinion/06sat4.html?_r=2&oref=slogin http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/health/article5209244.ece http://earthhopenetwork.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1252 actual link to the documentary:http://www.archive.org/details/TheDisappearingMale-CBC here is a small snippet from it, a descrpition: The Disappearing Male "We are conducting a vast toxicological experiment in which our children and our children's children are the experimental subjects." Dr. Herbert Needleman The Disappearing Male is about one of the most important, and least publicized, issues facing the human species: the toxic threat to the male reproductive system. The last few decades have seen steady and dramatic increases in the incidence of boys and young men suffering from genital deformities, low sperm count, sperm abnormalities and testicular cancer. At the same time, boys are now far more at risk of suffering from ADHD, autism, Tourette's syndrome, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia. The Disappearing Male takes a close and disturbing look at what many doctors and researchers now suspect are responsible for many of these problems: a class of common chemicals that are ubiquitous in our world. Found in everything from shampoo, sunglasses, meat and dairy products, carpet, cosmetics and baby bottles, they are called "hormone mimicking" or "endocrine disrupting" chemicals and they may be starting to damage the most basic building blocks of human development. more links:

"Can't work the middle cause his thing to little" (thank you Kim Jones for that quote of the day) Reality is, women always hollering about size girth width, "if its to small I can't feel it", "girl it was so big I could feel it in my stomach" etc. I think you all can recall a comment or two on a men's doinkage. I read somewhere creatvity is key with a small doink, I guess it would have to be. Bottomline, if you are a little doink, a medium doink, or draggin the floor needing a radio flyer to carry your doink, it all comes down to the essence of knowing how to use your tool. Here is a interesting thought on the subject matter, as a carpenter you build things, so you pull out your tools to create beauty. Experience and handling of the tools are key to building great things. I guess, if you know how to use your tools, no matter what the size is, you can lay a mean piece of wood, and your client will be completely satisfied. Get the point!

All I'm saying is size is everything. I mean I'm not huge (7.3 x 5.9) but every woman, all things else being equal, would be with the better equipped man. Just like all things considered, every man would be with the woman with wider hips and bigger breasts....it's a genetic predisposition connected with our desire to have healthy babies. Big penises or certain features of a woman subconsciously say they would be good for fathering/mothering our babies.

Well we live in a world where it matters to some.People have to learn to be comfortable with what they have.Man/Woman.Im sure there are alot of meaningful relations lost because of that issue, where it leaves women on a quest to find the big one,and in doing so they will have many more unmeaningful relations on this quest, because you will always find someone who has this but doesnt have that vice/versa.All you can do is try to get a good fit. Flip side is men become like the women since size matters to woman, now men can be like you what "your overweight" of your underweight i dont like it or your breast are just a little too small and i dont like implants, or your butt is too small, or too big,or your not that pretty you know. It just leaves both parties man/woman who can always have an objective. Some woman have easier orgasims,to some woman it doesnt matter like some men dont need an hour glass figure on their wife, some men do.

I think the majority of women will agree with me, even those who say size doesn't matter: When you're fantasizing about how your ideal man would look, he's reasonably well endowed. I think most of us would prefer that, but in reality, it is just more important to some women than others. In my opinion, an average size man that knows what he is doing is much preferred over a well endowed man who is clueless.

i think size matters more to those who engage in casual sex because at that point their encounters are primarily physical...but if you have developed a caring relationship prior to being intimate, size wont matter as much so honestly its not that big of a deal to me

Fascinating article, Ria - Thanks! Excellent comments, Soosoogood! Fish in the Colorado river are having an increasingly hard time maintaining their populations. In addition to silt, dams, chemicals and overfishing, caffeine and estrogen from our pee have made most of the fish female and all of them a bit spastic, stressed and shorter-lived. Both caffeine and estrogen are difficult for waste-water treatment plants to remove. Has anyone wandered around ancient dwellings? The people were so tiny! It's not just the small doors and low ceilings but beds and work spaces, as well that are small - Matching skeleton size. We're generally larger, stronger and much longer-lived from better quality of life and I think we've still got a long way to go. If nothing else, we're aware of so much we do that's harmful and that's the first step in rectifying problems.

Now that we know of this threat we act and do something about it. Size only matters if you are 3 inches or smaller, most of the penis does not provide sensation to please a woman anyway, the clitoris is up front the G spot is about 3 inches in. Size only matters if your partners wants size, believe me their are other ways to please a woman. Caseus

The tris(tributyltin oxide was banned in the UK years ago because it was the cause of whelks changing their gender. So clearly dna is not the only issue here. There are people who appear to be female with male dna because of chemical triggers that malfunctioned in the womb. And the thought of this forum being appropriate for scientific peer reviewed articles is silly but it is a fine place to put topics on the table for anyone who wants to research a topic further for themselves (in my opinion).

Sounds like so much frog wash to me. I believe genetics speaks more to the issue than anything else. I have a difficult time believing in articles or other pontifications that reel off statements as fact without elaborating on who did the study, who funded it, how was it done, how long the study lasted, how many men were used as the control group. Question everything.... Agamemnon Jones

I feel size may matter to some women. If you have been with a man that's WAY above average you might appreciate, a smaller penis. A larger penis requires the man to have some "skills" to wield the huge thing around. If a man has a smaller package, there are limitless possibilities... I like a "smedium"lol... Regardless of size, every woman deserves more than five minutes of funk-lol

Quite an interesting subject here. Over time, i always thought size mattered.............it doesnt at all......style matters more than size, i mean what would a woman have to do with a man who finnishes only thirty seconds into the game and falls down never to rise again even when his size is so big. I think what matters is the ability of one to go the "distance" until your partner is able to achieve satisfaction or organism......whatever they call it. I rest my case !

Well, interesting article. I am not buying it, though. I am turned off by small size. If the size is small, my psych turns everything off in me. Maybe I am wrong, but sorry... I have not been with many men, but if I have seen that you don't have what it takes, I won't take what you have--unless I love you. I have not been with many men at all, but I guess I have been spoiled. They say it is not the size of the ship, but how it rocks in the ocean. Hmmm.... I hate fingers and the tongue cannot do it for me, so...I need what it takes for ME. smile

That is true about endocrine disruptors and the US has been behind other countries in banning such chemicals such as tris(tributyltin) oxide which was in some paints and cleaners (Rocal d plus used in kennels and veterinarians clinics). Many pesticides combine in the environment to look like estrogen and the sperm count of whales has been declining and linked to pesticides which are everywhere now. And stress is another endocrine disruptor and just as powerful as many of these chemicals.
