You visit your regular online dating website. While busy searching through the profiles… bam!!! You stumble across your father’s profile. You aint the only one dating online. Daddy is doing too.
Some 26 year old lady, upon stumbling across her father’s profile “Sensitive, Stately Stunnerâ€? decided it was time for her to leave her online dating website. “It had literally become my parents’ dating siteâ€? she said. Her solution was to look for other dating sites that parents probably have never heard of.
Aren’t our fathers entitled to some love? If it is convenient for them, what is wrong with our parents dating online? More so, what’s the big deal about stumbling across their profiles? What’s wrong with daddy and me fishing in the same lake?
Sometimes we worry so much about what people say about us. Maybe the lady was afraid of what her friends would say if they found out the father is dating online. Question is, does it really matter how we find love? I don’t think so. If online dating will find you the love of your life, then go ahead and do it. Maybe daddy figured it was time to try it out after having failed to find love in the ‘conventional’ dating scene.

Very good comment Fala.Men thinks its fine to date someone their daughter or child’s age, but not for their child to date someone older.Most older men don’t won’t to date women in their age range.I have found its hard to date at my age or find someone in my age range.The men are looking for the younger women.

My daughter purchased my membership at afro , I looked and there are many women even a few years older than I . Age is yet another way to Discriminate . My wife and I are only a few years apart , I have dated Ladies 30 years older than I and we enjoy companionship at Dinner , Movies or just Kicken back Grocery shopping . Restrictions in Life are what we place on ourselves , Older people tend to move with a little more refinement in their step . Once was told that a Laundrymat was a place to find someone . I feel that if I meet someone that does not own a washing machine and dryer , she could have enjoyed using mine in the past . I have had two Ladie friends , who where older than I pass in the last ten years . Alas we spent many Happy moments together .

A few hours later the phone rang and when I answered there was someone at the other end laughung and laughing.

My dad is the reason I’m online. He met and fell in love with a really nice woman who happens to be white. They’ve been together for 2yrs now. Their the perfect picture of finding love online. I know we shouldn’t put a limit on loving someone, but I would have felt uncomfortable if he had met someone my age. I know I hear age is a state of mind from some of the younger men on this website. I’m 38 and I can’t see myself dating someone 26.

Must admit the idea sounds odd having a parent and sone/daughter or even other relatives on the same site.
Haven’t experienced that situation and hopefully if I ever do they will do the same thing I would do, ignore their profile unless they ask me for my opinion.
Ues, even adult aged offsprings have the right to privacy from their parents.
