Why stand alone under the mistletoe?

No one wants to be left standing alone under the mistletoe at the struck of midnight. And this is why this time of year, dating sites like this one record some increase in traffic; with one of the websites recording a 413% increase in fresh registrations the week after Christmas.

Is such an increase attributed to the one night date seekers afraid of being alone come New Year’s eve? Is it that people have made resolutions to get out and date more come next year so that they don’t stand alone during the December holidays?

Finding a partner always tops the list of New Year’s resolutions every year. And what better way to get you closer to realizing this resolution in an easy and convenient way than through online dating? Kate Taylor from Match.com told The Huffington Post that "… online dating offers the perfect chance to widen the number of potential partners available to you – and to find a potential date from the comfort of your own living room"

Family pressure also plays a major role in this increase in traffic, with many people trying to avoid the “You are still alone!?” question. But we gotta admit, the cold weather may be playing a role too. People are stuck indoors trying to find ways to entertain themselves. And people have the time to kill after Christmas. For singles, online dating can be pretty entertaining this time of year.

But whatever the reasons for being online this jolly season, its our hope and prayer that you don’t stand alone when counting down the clock to the strike of midnight. To be honest, in the beginning, I thought it would be a waste of time. But since I've never seen a similar service in any other dating site, I decided to give it a try.

I always "thought" my profile was on point and I did not need any help to correct my page. I always had in my profile if someone is not attracted to my profile, then that's "their" loss.
