Intelligent men make better sperm
Study claims smart men are more fertile
Find your soulmate on AfroRomance

A study conducted in the UK on 425 men showed that the participants who scored highly on intelligence tests also spotted the ‘best’ sperm in terms of numbers, concentration and ability to move. Based on this study, scientists are about to conclude that high intelligence favors men genetically. Maybe it’s the innate fitness factor in play which suggests that bright people are all around healthier and more robust than their average intellect counterparts.
Surprisingly, lifestyle choices (alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, exercising, and the like) didn’t seem to make a difference in this study. Lead researcher Dr. Rosalind Arden however points out that “This does not mean that men who prefer Play-Do to Plato always have poor sperm: the relationship we found was marginal.”
Marginal or not, who would have thought the ability to correctly finish a sequence of geometric patterns translates to high quantity and aggressiveness of one’s sperm! As for me, its smarty pants all the way. ;-)

Good Job! This study describes that intelligence may be an indicator of the quality of genes of a person.

I bet that only 5 men out of 425 score high and therefore had 'better' sperm. The test was taken in the UK!

Well I guess I'm just not smart enough to leave this one alone. It is a bit surprising that the one factor of intelligence alone is enough to (marginally) increase the amount and robustness of one's sperm. I wonder how many other factors if isolated would prove a similar marginal increase? Left-handedness? Green-eyes? Two-parent families? It's hard to tell since the double-blind method wasn't mentioned as part of the analysis. A bunch of smart guys (i.e., scientists) discover that their sperm is superior? Hmmmn. We might want to recheck the findings. It is funny to think that the stereotype of the smarter-than-smart geek who can't get a date might have the extra special genetic material to pass on if only he weren't playing Dungeons and Dragons on Saturday night instead of meeting women who might make use of this discovery. I'm not sure, but the main purpose of this blog entry may have been so that Ria could use that final line!! LOL!!

At it again Ria? at least you are not bashing black women this time. This subject/topic is just plain unnerving and unintelligent in itself. makes one wonder what type of intellect a person has to have to post the topic in the first place? Wonder if it had to do with their daddy's sperm? i'm just sayin.....
